How much does pickup cost?
Simple, transparent pricing using our FairWeight billing system. Weekly is $20, bi-weekly is $25, and same-day on-demand is $30. All prices include up to 40 lbs, then $1/lb for extra weight.
Where should I place garbage bags?
Place tied garbage bags at the driveway or curbside only, no later than 7 a.m. on service day. Backyard pickups are not available.
Do I need to be home during pickup?
No. As long as access is clear and garbage bags are placed correctly, we can complete the pickup and send photo confirmation.
Will BagBuddies enter homes, garages, or locked areas?
No. BagBuddies only collects from accessible outdoor locations and does not enter homes, garages, fenced yards, or locked areas.
Can I leave placement and bin return instructions?
Yes. Add detailed pickup and bin return notes during booking, such as end of driveway or beside house in driveway, and our team will follow those instructions.
What if I forget to place garbage out?
Garbage must be placed outside no later than 7 a.m. If it is not accessible at scheduled pickup time, a missed pickup fee may apply.
When is same-day pickup available?
Same-day pickup is available for orders placed before 10 a.m., based on route availability.
Do you offer subscription service?
Yes. Discounted subscription service is available for recurring automatic pickups.
Do you accept Green Bin waste?
Yes, if Green Bin waste is securely placed inside sealed garbage bags for safe and sanitary transport.
Do you pick up recycling?
Niagara Region already provides reliable weekly recycling collection. BagBuddies currently focuses on excess garbage pickup. Recycling support may be added in the future as we finalize safe handling standards and clear volume-based pricing.
What items are accepted?
Standard household garbage in tied garbage bags is accepted. Hazardous materials, chemicals, and restricted items must not be included.
What items are not accepted?
Paint, oil, chemicals, batteries, aerosol cans, furniture, appliances, construction debris, and tires are not accepted.
What if prohibited items are found?
If prohibited materials are discovered, pickup may be refused and a $30 prohibited-items fee applies.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no contracts. You can cancel before 7 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day.
