Pickup terms and acceptance
By confirming a pickup, you agree to these terms so service is safe, fast, and predictable.
Service scope
BagBuddies provides outdoor household pickup only. Garbage bags must be tied and placed in an accessible outdoor location before scheduled service time. BagBuddies does not enter homes, garages, locked areas, or enclosed private spaces.
Customer warranties
By booking service, you confirm all contents are lawful, safe, and eligible for disposal under municipal, provincial, and federal rules. You confirm prohibited, hazardous, dangerous, and malicious materials are not included in any bag presented for pickup.
Prohibited items
Prohibited items include, without limitation: paint, oil, chemicals, batteries, aerosol cans, propane, sharps, medical/biohazard waste, firearms, ammunition, explosives, asbestos, large construction debris, appliances, furniture, and tires. These items must not be placed in garbage bags.
Damaged bags and re-bagging
If garbage bags are damaged by animals, torn, leaking, or otherwise unsafe to handle, they may need to be re-bagged so pickup can be completed safely. When that extra handling is required, a $15 re-bagging fee is added to the original bill.
Refusal, suspension, and reporting rights
BagBuddies may refuse pickup, cancel service, suspend accounts, and report suspected illegal or dangerous contents to applicable authorities at any time.
Fees and charges
If prohibited items are found, those bags will not be picked up and a $30 prohibited-items fee applies. Weight-based charges follow posted pricing. Re-bagging, missed-access, or other handling fees are only charged when extra labor or special handling is required to complete service safely.
Pricing changes
BagBuddies may update pricing, fees, discounts, service areas, and billing rules from time to time. When a pricing change affects a scheduled or recurring pickup, we aim to notify customers before the pickup so they can review the change. Completed pickups are billed using the pricing and applicable fees in effect for that pickup, unless otherwise stated.
Access and placement
Garbage bags must be placed at the driveway or curbside in an accessible outdoor location at the scheduled time. Clear pickup notes help avoid delays. Backyard pickups are not available. If bags cannot be accessed when service is attempted, pickup may be marked missed and any applicable missed-service fee may apply.
Privacy and account information
BagBuddies collects and uses customer information such as names, contact details, service addresses, pickup notes, billing details, and service history to provide service, manage accounts, process payments, prevent fraud, send service communications, and improve operations. You are responsible for keeping account information accurate and for protecting your login credentials.
Security and data incidents
BagBuddies uses reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards to protect customer information, but no website, payment system, database, or internet transmission can be guaranteed fully secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BagBuddies is not liable for unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, alteration, or misuse of information caused by third-party systems, customer credential misuse, events outside our reasonable control, or other data incidents.
Responsibility, liability, and indemnity
You are solely responsible for all bag contents, including any prohibited, hazardous, dangerous, or malicious materials. BagBuddies does not assume legal responsibility for unlawful or undeclared contents and may not detect hidden materials before or during pickup. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold BagBuddies harmless from all claims, losses, penalties, cleanup costs, damages, and legal fees arising from your contents or breach of these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BagBuddies is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. BagBuddies total liability for any claim related to a pickup is limited to the amount paid for that specific pickup.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Disputes are subject to the courts of Ontario, unless otherwise required by law.
Acceptance
By confirming a pickup, you acknowledge you have read and accepted these terms in full.
